Doug Reinbold, P. Eng - Principal
Doug Reinbold obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. He is also a certified Journeyman Plumber from the Kelsey Institute of Applied Arts & Science.
Doug is licensed to practice in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Yukon Territory and the North West Territories, as well as in Washington State, California and New Jersey. Doug is a member of multiple professional associations including the Washington State Association of Engineers, the Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society, the Canadian Green Building Council, and other provincial engineering associations. He is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Accredited Professional.
Doug’s 30 plus years of experience in the building and construction industry provides him with a solid foundation in all aspects of mechanical engineering design. From 1991 to 1995, Doug was a Principal with Keen Engineering and from 1996 to 1998, he was a Design Engineer with Donnelly Simpson Clearly Pty. In 1998, Doug established the Reinbold Engineering Group, as the Principal and Senior Mechanical Engineer.
Doug’s knowledge of energy efficient systems design proves invaluable when evaluating ROI and assessing design alternatives regarding sustainability. Throughout the design process, he assists the team and oversees the final design of mechanical systems. He manages all contractual obligations, budgets, project schedules and specifications. Doug was an earlier proponent of sustainable design achieving the LEED accreditation. He has developed extensive knowledge of, and experience with a variety of engineering applications, systems and technologies, which are essential in a dynamic operating environment.
Jason Edey, Principal
In 2001 Jason Edey joined Reinbold Engineering Group as Principal. Jason has more than 25 years of HVAC and plumbing design experience on mixed-use residential, commercial and institutional projects. His attention to detail and conviction to quality control ensures that the client receives the best services and products available.
Jason is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company including relationship management, business development, marketing and coordination of deliverables on projects. He provides technical expertise and reviews design concepts, to ensure that the systems meet client expectations, particularly in relation to quality and energy efficiencies of the mechanical systems.
Jason was instrumental in opening the branches in Kelowna, Vancouver, Edmonton and most recently Toronto.
Jason attended the University of Lethbridge and University of Calgary studying mechanical engineering. He also posseses certification as a Ground Source Heat Pump and GeoExchange Designer, completing courses in Energy Analysis, Trace 7000 and California Title 24 energy audits.
Jason is a member of the International Ground Course Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA), U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Canada Green Build Council (CaGBC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and a member of American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
