The Garrison Green Long Term Care Facility is a 4 storey, 200 unit assisted living development of approximately 175,000 ft2. The facility is complete with a 66 stall underground parkade; as well as auxiliary spaces such as a family dining area, multi-purpose recreation room, full kitchen, a café, gift shop, hair salon, library and two open-air courtyards with recreation and barbecue areas. The facility will house a variety of residents, including seniors and younger adults with disabilities, all requiring supported living. The mechanical systems were comprised of a central heating plant with high efficient boilers serving perimeter radiant panels and other heating elements. Ventilation was comprised of roof mounted VAV air handling units with heat recovery, and a full DDC Building Management System was installed to monitor operation of the systems.
