Brooks Centennial Regional Arena

This NHL regulation size ice arena has seating for 1,700 spectators in a 54,250 ft2 building. The facility includes a large lobby, main and secondary concession areas with bar service, 6 dressing rooms, 2 referee rooms, 2 first aid rooms, a staff room, a fitness room, and various offices and administration areas. The Arena is designed to exceed the Model National Energy Code. The building system utilizes sustainable design initiatives by reducing energy consumption. The mechanical systems feature desiccant dehumidification for the arena ventilation, ice plant heat recovery units for the hot water, dedicated ventilation for the dressing rooms and air conditioning throughout the concession and administration areas. This building is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion in early 2010.
