The Hector at Palliser Village

The Hector at Palliser Village Solar Project is a 60 unit community housing development in the Three Sisters Village in Canmore, Alberta. The domestic water is heated using 40 flat plate solar collectors installed on the roof of the building. The collectors are tied to storage tanks in the basement mechanical room. The solar water heating is expected to provide approximately 30% of the building’s hot water heating requirements. This project was completed in late fall 2009.
