Location: Inglewood, Calgary AB
This unique facility incorporates in-slab heating, heat recovery, rain water re-use and an innovative air intake system that uses the earth to temper incoming air to the space. Designed as a performance and recording venue, the building also houses offices for the Calgary Folk Festival staff. The acoustics in the facility have been carefully considered for all types of performances. The tempered ventilation air from the earth tube is introduced via special floor mounted displacement diffusers to increase ventilation effectiveness throughout the building.
