Our Team
Reinbold Engineering Group began in 1998 with our vision to create an engineering firm committed to mechanical design excellence and superior customer service. Our leadership team has over 50 years of mechanical engineering and project management experience. Their expertise guides the Reinbold team, ensuring every project and client receives the focus and attention of our principals.
Doug Reinbold, P.Eng., LEED AP, is the founder and a senior mechanical engineer with over 35 years of experience in the building and construction industry. His practical experience as a journeyman plumber and gas-fitter provide him with a solid foundation when it comes to mechanical engineering design. He has worked on numerous projects of all sizes and complexities in Canada, the USA, and Australia. Doug’s broad and extensive experience is a valuable resource which will aid in the successful design, construction, and commissioning of any project.
Doug is licensed to practice in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Yukon Territory and the North West Territories, as well as in Washington State, California and New Jersey. Doug is a member of multiple professional associations including the Washington State Association of Engineers, the Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society, the Canadian Green Building Council, and other provincial engineering associations. He is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Accredited Professional.

Jason Edey joined Reinbold Engineering in 2001 as a Principal. He is a senior mechanical designer with more than 29 years of technical experience on projects of various size, complexity, and type. His attention to detail and conviction to quality control ensures that the client receives the best service and product available. Jason is currently the Senior Principal who oversees the design and construction of our seniors and institutional projects in our Toronto office. Jason ensures that all system designs meet or exceed current codes providing the owner with a quality, energy efficient system.
Jason is a member of the International Ground Course Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA), U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Canada Green Build Council (CaGBC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and a member of American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

Chris Schulz is senior project manager in the Calgary office with 20 years experience in the industry. He completed the Engineering Design and Drafting Technology program at Thompson Rivers University in 1998 and has extensive experience designing and managing a variety of commercial, institutional and multi-family low and high rise projects. Chris is a dedicated and knowledgeable team member with a commitment to providing excellence in mechanical design from project start to construction completion. Outside of the office Chris enjoys spending time with his family doing outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing/snowboarding.
Chris Schulz is senior project manager in the Calgary office with 20 years experience in the industry. Greg Fisher has 20 years of experience as a designer and project manager and is in our Calgary office. Greg’s first experience with building mechanical systems was as an air-balance technician and commissioning agent on commercial and institutional projects. He has leveraged his experience and the knowledge learned commissioning buildings to design efficient and effective mechanical systems without unnecessary complication and cost. He is well versed in Revit and Navisworks and guides our design, drafting, and modelling standards as we strive to continuously improve our service to our clients. Away from the office Greg stays active biking and camping with his family.

Richard is the managing Principal of Reinbold Engineering Group’s Building Performance and Sustainability team and has been with the firm since 2005. Based in Calgary, Richard oversees energy modelling and sustainability projects across North America and is a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Nova Scotia. Richard has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering where his studies focused on Solar Thermal energy. He is also an ASHRAE Certified Building Energy Modelling Professional (BEMP), LEED Accredited Professional and Certified Passive House Designer (CPHD). Richard has experience in net zero projects, energy audits and works with our mechanical engineering and commissioning teams to integrate sustainability and energy efficiency into all aspects of Reinbold Engineering Group’s services.

Tony Pagnotta is the principal in charge of the Kelowna office, where he is responsible for operations within the British Columbia interior and also assists with projects across Western Canada. He has over 15 years of experience in the mechanical engineering industry. Tony has been involved in every project in the British Columbia interior since our first contract in Kelowna in 2004. He has successfully completed commercial, office, retail, low & high-rise residential, and institutional projects. Tony is committed to finding energy savings in his system designs that not only save energy long term but also are cost-effective to construct and operate. Many of his projects have achieved BuiltGreen and LEED certifications.

Peter Teunissen joined Reinbold Engineering in 2022 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing over 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance & operations to our management team. Peter is an entrepreneurial and results-driven CPA (CA) with the Alberta Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants and oversees all aspects of finance, human resource, administration and operational risk management. During his career, Peter has worked throughout Alberta gaining a range of experience in residential, civil, commercial, multi-family & land development construction projects. Away from the office Peter is an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast and manages a charity with his wife Michelle.
