Our Team
Reinbold Engineering Group began in 1998 with our vision to create an engineering firm committed to mechanical design excellence and superior customer service. Our leadership team has over 50 years of mechanical engineering and project management experience. Their expertise guides the Reinbold team, ensuring every project and client receives the focus and attention of our principals.
Doug Reinbold, P.Eng., LEED AP, is the founder and a senior mechanical engineer with over 35 years of experience in the building and construction industry. His practical experience as a journeyman plumber and gas-fitter provide him with a solid foundation when it comes to mechanical engineering design. He has worked on numerous projects of all sizes and complexities in Canada, the USA, and Australia. Doug’s broad and extensive experience is a valuable resource which will aid in the successful design, construction, and commissioning of any project.
Doug is licensed to practice in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Yukon Territory and the North West Territories, as well as in Washington State, California and New Jersey. Doug is a member of multiple professional associations including the Washington State Association of Engineers, the Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society, the Canadian Green Building Council, and other provincial engineering associations. He is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Accredited Professional.

His attention to detail and conviction to quality control ensures that the client receives the best service and product available. Jason is currently the Senior Principal who oversees the operations in our Vancouver and Toronto offices and leads our design teams for all projects in the USA. Jason ensures that all system designs meet or exceed current codes providing the owner with a quality, energy efficient system.
Jason has worked hard over the years to develop his interpersonal and technical skills to work closely with owners and clients to guide them to select systems that meet their programming requirements and market strategy.

He has extensive expertise in managing and designing a wide range of commercial, institutional and multifamily low- and high-rise projects across Canada as well as low- and high-rise buildings in California and Washington state. Chris is a dedicated leader with a strong commitment to delivering excellence in mechanical design from project inception through to construction completion. Outside of the office, Chris enjoys spending with his family and taking part in outdoor activities such as hiking and snowboarding.

He has extensive expertise in managing and designing a wide range of commercial, institutional and multifamily low- and high-rise projects across Canada as well as low- and high-rise buildings in California and Washington state. Greg Fisher P. Tech (Eng.) is a principal with Reinbold. Greg joined Reinbold Engineering in 2012 and has 28 years of experience in design, management and construction of projects. Greg has successfully completed over 300 various commercial, seniors, institutional, recreational and multifamily residential projects across North America. Greg leverages the practical experience he gained balancing and commissioning mechanical systems early in his career to develop innovative and practical solutions that are energy efficient and cost effective to construct and operate. Recognizing that coordination and integration of mechanical systems into buildings is one of the biggest challenges in our industry led Greg to become an early adopter of BIM and he now guides our design and modelling standards as we strive to reset the bar for productivity, detail level and coordination.

Richard has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering where his studies focused on Solar Thermal energy. He is also an ASHRAE Certified Building Energy Modelling Professional (BEMP), LEED Accredited Professional and Certified Passive House Designer (CPHD). Richard has experience in net zero projects, green building certifications, energy audits, and deep energy retrofits. He has successfully led new build and major renovation projects in commercial, institutional, infrastructural, water treatment, healthcare, and office sectors, instilling confidence in his expertise.
With over 19 years of professional experience, Luke has developed extensive expertise in sustainability, simulation, decarbonization, energy master planning, and energy auditing. His knowledge and practical strategies make him a reliable guide for the project team, ensuring the project’s energy optimization and decarbonization targets are met.
As an Accredited Professional for LEED BD+C and WELL, Luke is experienced in facilitating Green Building projects to meet the building owner’s green building certification target towards LEED, WELL, TGS, or Built Green certifications.
His knowledge of decarbonization was showcased in a presentation – NRCan Northern Forestry Centre Carbon Natural Study during the 2019 Real Property Institute of Canada (RPIC) National Workshop in Ottawa, demonstrating his leadership in the field.
Luke has the Reliability Clearance Certificate with the Government of Canada and has been involved in various PSPC projects.

Byron started his engineering career in the Northwest Territories performing tasks such as drafting and surveying and has progressed to mechanical engineering design and project management. The knowledge and experience that Byron has gained through the years as Project Manager have equipped him with the aptitude to provide clients with the best solutions for their building system needs.

He is an accredited BC Hydro Power Smart energy modeler, with extensive project experience with building performance energy and emission performance, and sustainability strategies. Chi has extensive experience in evaluating the performance of residential and commercial buildings as well as giving design input to reach sustainability goals. Kevin specializes in retrofit projects, such as domestic and heating/cooling piping replacement and equipment upgrades and is dedicated to delivering excellence in every project.

His expertise lies in designing comprehensive mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and drainage. In his role, Peter is focused on providing design leadership and project management for many concurrent mixed-use residential high-rise and low carbon projects.

Steven joined Reinbold Engineering in 2012 as an entry level drafter and flourished to a proven Associate. Within a few short years of starting Steven had provided an immediate impact to the operations and standards of the company with his attention to detail and processes. Steven’s expertise and passion has developed into high performing low rise multi-family residential buildings with the majority of projects he has been involved with having achieved one or more of the following certifications: Built Green – Platinum, BC Step code 4 and LEED. Steven has excelled in providing energy conscious, cost-efficient mechanical designs for his clients in low rise, retail and office industries.
Steven is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Canada Green Build Council (CaGBC), Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC), Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC (ASTTBC) and American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
In his free time, you’ll find him volunteering with the Canadian Ski Patrol and Junior Chamber International looking to provide value back to the community he grew up in.

Steven’s expertise and passion has developed into high performing low rise multi-family residential buildings with the majority of projects he has been involved with having achieved one or more of the following certifications: Built Green – Platinum, BC Step code 4 and LEED. Steven has excelled in providing energy conscious, cost-efficient mechanical designs for his clients in low rise, retail and office industries.
Steven is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Canada Green Build Council (CaGBC), Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC), Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC (ASTTBC) and American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
In his free time, you’ll find him volunteering with the Canadian Ski Patrol and Junior Chamber International looking to provide value back to the community he grew up in.
Tony Christensen is a mechanical designer and project manager in our Kelowna, BC office with over 10 years of experience in the building construction industry. Tony is well experienced in all aspects of mechanical systems design; with experience producing construction documents for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems across multiple building types. He has designed the complete mechanical systems for numerous Mid and high rise residential, commercial, retail, institutional and industrial projects across Canada. Tony’s dedication to quality, consistency and efficiency will ensure a project outcome consistent with the Owner’s requirements.

Mitchell Adams is an Associate, Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager in our Calgary, AB office with 9 years of experience designing mechanical and plumbing systems. He has worked on a wide variety of projects including warehouses, mixed use residential towers, commercial office spaces, restaurants, and industrial spaces across Canada and the United States. Mitchell started his engineering career in Calgary, Alberta as an Intern in 2014 and has been actively involved in the HVAC industry ever since. He has held numerous roles with the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and has most recently served as Chapter Technical Transfer Committee Chair for Southern Alberta. He has worked as a Mechanical Designer, Project Manager and currently works as an Associate at Reinbold Engineering Group. In this role Mitchell is responsible for mechanical design, project budgeting and scheduling, and coordination with other design team members and contractors. His strong communication skills and technical expertise has led to hundreds of successful projects across the industry.
