Home Space Sierra (Project Thrive) is an existing 10 storey commercial office building with a restaurant and administration spaces located on the main floor level that is being converted into a residential low-income housing complex and homeless shelter. The building will provide 80 shelter and affordable housing units as well as a childcare center, family shelter and programming space. The existing HVAC and plumbing systems were removed and replaced with a high efficiency condensing boiler heating system with new distribution pumps and energy recovery ventilators in the residential suites. One of the VAV air handing units and other existing mechanical equipment was repurposed to continue to serve the building where possible.
