East Courtenay Fire Hall
The Courtenay Firehall is a new, purpose-built emergency response facility located at 220 Waters Place in Courtenay, BC. Designed as a two-tandem-bay, drive-through firehall, the facility will provide modern operational, administrative, and firefighter support spaces, including dedicated amenities for paid-on-call firefighters on the upper level. The project also incorporates provisions for future expansion, including the potential addition of a third apparatus bay and expanded administrative space.
The mechanical design focuses on delivering a reliable, durable, and efficient facility that supports the unique operational requirements of emergency response services. HVAC systems are being designed to provide occupant comfort, indoor air quality, and resilient operation across apparatus bays, offices, training areas, and support spaces, while the plumbing systems will provide dependable service and long-term maintainability. Together, these systems will support a modern municipal facility designed for operational efficiency, occupant well-being, and long-term performance.
