This project includes the replacement and expansion of FWG on the existing campus. The project will result in 136 long-term care resident rooms, and 12 short-stay resident rooms. Phase 1 will be construction to replace the existing home, including 60 single-occupant resident rooms and all LTC support services. Phase 2 will be demolition of the vacated home and then construction of an interconnected addition with 88 single-occupant resident rooms, Adult Day Service space, and a new childcare space. The project will include Aboriginal engagement and opportunities, climate resiliency, and greenhouse gas emission reductions will meet. The project will achieve LEED v4 BD+C Healthcare Gold.
