The home will provide a specialized and safety enhanced environment to house and support Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) qualified individuals that have a history of mental health, specialized behavioural issues, or chronic substance abuse/dependency problems. The home is a 24,391 ft² 2-storey structure, with 24 secure harm reduction (anti-ligature) residential suits, indoor and outdoor recreational spaces, staff spaces, parking and storage garage. The project will be built based on an ABC 2019 B1 Detention/Care occupancy as well as CSA Z317.1 for Care. The project will achieve a LEED® Silver Certification and was designed to  meet the requirements of the NECB 2020.
