Roxborough Park (41 Reid Ave S.) is a 10-storey apartment rental that will be operated and managed by City Housing Hamilton (CHH). The project is building to the Passive House Classic Standard, with Passive House Certified Windows and ventilation systems. The project uses a precast concrete insulated panel system with windows being installed in the factory. The project will use passive heating and cooling where possible with additional demand being met by a 2 sided passive gravity wall. The heating demand of the project is estimated at 14 kWh/m2/yr a 90% reduction compared to a standard build. The project uses heat pumps for the ventilation heating and cooling and a high efficiency condensing boiler for domestic hot water. Drain water heat recovery and low flow fixtures reduces the hot water demand.
