The Grandview Condominiums – Energy Audit
REG was engaged by the Grandview Condominium Board of Directors to prepare an ASHRAE Level II energy audit. The Grandview Condominium is a 15-storey luxury residential building constructed in 2002 with 56 units and an attached Heritage building. The goal of the study was to reduce operational energy costs and address operational issues with existing HVAC systems.
The energy audit report was able to provide a roadmap of nine Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) to be implemented over a 15 year period. Annual energy savings are estimated at 2,900 MWh with a reduction in annual energy cost of approximately $120,000. Three of the proposed ECMs are being considered for immediate retrofit which is expected to deliver over $100,000 in annual savings.
