Richard is the managing Principal of Reinbold Engineering Group’s Building Performance and Sustainability team and has been with the firm since 2005.  Based in Calgary, Richard oversees energy modelling and sustainability projects across North America and is a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Nova Scotia and California.  Richard has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering where his studies focused on Solar Thermal energy.  He is also an ASHRAE Certified Building Energy Modelling Professional (BEMP), LEED Accredited Professional and Certified Passive House Designer (CPHD).  Richard has experience in net zero projects, green building certifications, energy audits, and deep energy retrofits.  He collaborates closely with our mechanical engineering and commissioning teams to integrate sustainability and energy efficiency into all aspects of Reinbold Engineering Group’s services.
